Before 494 BC, when the Plebians went on strike, Roman Society was unbalanced. Plebians did not even have the right to vote and the Patricians were the ruling class, they were in charge. The Plebians decided that it wasn't fair so they went on strike. They refused to serve in the army and they stopped working in Rome. The strike gave them the right to vote along with many other well deserved rights. After 494 BC, when the strike was over, the Roman Society was much more balanced than before. Freemen and slaves were not effected by the strike and they still had very little rights to no rights at all.
